Knights Hub – St. Andrews University Mobile App

While serving as Director of DeTamble Library, I led the design and launch of Knights Hub, the official mobile app for St. Andrews University. Students consistently shared that they rarely checked campus emails or visited the main university website, so I created a solution that placed all essential campus information right at their fingertips.

Using AppMySite, I converted key portions of the university website into an intuitive mobile experience. To keep the app’s home page clean and user‑friendly, I implemented submenus to organize resources and avoid clutter. Throughout development, I partnered with an Advanced Communications class as a focus group to test navigation and usability, and I conducted thorough faculty, staff, and student testing before the app could be approved for the Apple App Store.

This project not only resulted in a polished product but also taught me valuable lessons about programming and refining mobile apps.

Student Services: housing, academic support (tutoring + library), health and wellness
News & Alerts: real‑time notifications for closures and announcements.
Campus email: Encourages students to read valuable email from staff, faculty, admins, & coaches
