This is a portfolio is a sample of works I've created in work and volunteer settings. The works are roughly grouped by instructional videos, web design, and graphic design.
For my work at BH Carroll, I recorded two videos in Camtasia about how to set up the gradebook in Moodle. The first video covers the basics: grade items and categories, entering grades, and demonstrates how to set up a hypothetical gradebook with weighted categories. The second video covers a points-based gradebook (i.e. one that does not average to 100%) using natural aggregation in Moodle.
I recently upgraded to Camtasia 2018 and I've been pleasantly surprised with the new features, such as the intros and background music. As you can see in both videos, I used the spinning laptop background.
My duties as the Director of Online Instruction at B.H. Carroll include orienting new faculty to Moodle. I created this infographic to quickly summarize the major activities and resources and how they might be used. This guide is available in the general faculty help page within Moodle, which all faculty are enrolled in, as well as an orientation course for new instructors.
I created this video as the Director of Online Instruction at BH Carroll Theological Institute on how to add discussion forums in Moodle courses.
I created this video as part of a course I am working on at BH Carroll Theological Institute, High Touch Technologies for Instructors. This video was recorded in Camtasia as an introduction to the course unit on podcasting.
An instructional video I created as the Instructional Technologist at South College on how to use Padlet. I recorded the video with Camtasia.
I volunteered as the webmaster at Lincoln Park United Methodist Church in Knoxville, TN in 2016. I created the website in WordPress and set up a Sound Cloud account for the church.
I created this website in 2016 using Weebly as the social media volunteer of the Young Professionals of the Tri-Cities (TN-VA). The site has since been revamped.
A group project for a course I completed while earning an MA in Educational Technology at Appalachian State. We used VoiceThread to create this project.
